Young musicians get ready for jazz festival

The Battle Ground High School Advanced Jazz Band is competing against about 60 other high school bands from around the state at the Clark College Jazz Festival this week. Jazz programs in Clark County are renowned, and bands have stepped up their rehearsal hours to outplay each other. But students take away more than just music chops from their band experience, says the B.G. High band director.
