Portland Trail Blazers guard Brandon Roy, who is dealing with a left shoulder strain, will not play in tonight’s road game against the San Antonio Spurs, the team said.

Roy is listed as day-to-day. He is expected to undergo a magnetic resonance imaging test to explore the severity of his injury when the team returns to Portland following a four-game road trip, which concludes tonight.

Roy suffered the injury during an 85-81 victory over the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday.

Roy had played in all 30 of the Blazers’ (18-12) games before tonight. The two-time NBA All-Star is averaging team highs in points (22.2) and assists (5.1) this season.

It was also announced Wednesday that Blazers center Joel Przybilla will return to Portland to undergo further testing on his ruptured right patella tendon and dislocated patella. An update on Przybilla’s status is expected Thursday.
