There is one thing I know for sure, a book like Enchantment is not only needed it should be required reading for families, students and anyone who is in a field where connecting with people is required. (I guess that actually means everyone) Guy Kawasaki takes simple tools and concepts, and provides stories to illustrate how and why they work to honor people.

We are experiencing a time when people do not feel important or significant. People are craving to be noticed for a job well done or in some cases, noticed at all.

Kawasaki reminds us of the importance of:

• Please and thank you • Dressing for the occasion • Asking questions • Doing a job well and going beyond what is required • Making your boss look good

Guy pulls no complicated punches. He tells it like he sees it. Frankly, I was surprised by the fact that this man who is internationally known for his outstanding marketing abilities, decided to write a book about “the little things” that help develop strong interpersonal relationships.

I am a firm believer in most of the tools and techniques Guy talks about in Enchantment. If you want proof that this stuff works, look at Guy’s life. He is leading a life most of us only dream about. If we use one-half of the great suggestions in this book, I am betting, our life and relationships will change with amazing speed.

One would be hard pressed to come across a name of another book that has so many effective ways to communicate with humans. Each chapter is complete in its’ thought. You can put it down and pick it up again with no problem. Guy asked me to review Enchantment. It arrived before it was formally released. It sat on my end table in my living room and was picked up each time I had an empty 10 to 15 minutes in my day. I finished it last night, sat on the sofa, and thought, “Guy, a job well done”.

Going to keep Enchantment on my end table. Lots to go back to and reread.
