Film Festival with purpose
The fourth-annual Northwest Conference Against Trafficking and Film Festival will feature four film screenings that bring attention to human trafficking, one film for each night: “Pornland,” by Dan Rather Reports; “The Day My God Died” by Winona Ryder and Andrew Levine; “Selling the Girl Next Door” by CNN and Amber Lyon; and “Wonderland” by director James Cox and Lions Gate Films. The festival includes exhibit resources and a Q&A with cast members and survivors. Hosted by the Northwest Coalition Against Trafficking and Soroptimist International.
When: 6-9 p.m. Jan. 9-12.

Touring group promotes classics
Head over to Columbia River High School or Skyview High School for the University of Puget Sound Symphony Orchestra, which is conducting a Winter Tour of local high schools to promote classical music, performances open to the public.
