PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Portland Trail Blazers guard Brandon Roy has a bone contusion in his right knee and will miss Monday night’s game against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Roy is the Blazers’ leading scorer with 21.8 points per game. He played 11 minutes in the first half against Los Angeles on Sunday before the Blazers ruled him out for the rest of the game.
The three-time All-Star had an MRI on Sunday night that confirmed the deep bone bruise in his right knee. He will have another MRI on Monday.
His status for the Blazers’ regular-season finale at home against the Golden State Warriors is uncertain.
The Blazers have clinched a spot in the playoffs, but their opponent for the first round has yet to be determined.
