BATTLE GROUND — A $7.5 million safety improvement project will begin Monday on state Highway 503 north of Battle Ground.
The project will add climbing lanes in both directions to increase safety and reduce the severity of collisions and conflicts between slower traffic and large vehicles passing each other on the roadway. In addition, the project will resurface the intersection of Highway 503 and Gabriel Road.
Motorists will encounter daytime single-lane closures between 244th and 269th streets.
