Darkness to Light course combats child sex abuse

MEDFORD, Ore. (AP) — Special trainers were at the Children’s Advocacy Center in Medford last week to teach a course called Darkness to Light about combating child sex abuse.

Center director Marlene Mish says every adult is responsible for children, and the training amounts to a crash course in being human.

One lesson: a child’s silence and an adult’s ignorance are the abuser’s biggest weapons.
