VERONA, N.Y. (AP) — The Turning Stone Resort Championship gets under way on Thursday, and Vaughn Taylor is ready for redemption.

Taylor lost last year in a six-hole, sudden-death playoff with Matt Kuchar. He’s looking for his first victory on the PGA Tour in five years. Taylor has two victories on tour — the Reno-Tahoe Open in 2004, in a playoff, and again in 2005.

Taylor was sixth at the John Deere Classic two weeks ago, his fifth top 10 of the year, and ranks 38th on the money list with $1.5 million.

Turning Stone is part of the race for the FedEx Cup title this year after being part of the Fall Series since its inception in 2007.
