PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Several Portland-area families have been trailed in stores, questioned by security guards and even reported to the authorities. The reason: Their sons look like Kyron Horman, the 7-year-old boy who has been missing since June 4.
With 21 billboards featuring Kyron’s face and his family’s regular appearances in print, broadcast and online, families of children who resemble the missing boy are getting used to odd looks in the grocery store.
The Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office has received at least four reports of children who resemble Kyron. One report at the Portland airport caused police to chase down a woman on the concourse and determine that her son wasn’t Kyron.
