BEND, Ore. (AP) — A Texas businessman has been killed in a motorcycle crash in Oregon.

The Deschutes County sheriff’s office said 62-year-old Raymond Walker of Nocona, Texas, died Sunday afternoon when his motorcycle was struck by a car that swerved out of control on Forest Service Road 40 near Cultus Lake.

The Bulletin reported his wife, Mary Walker, was in serious condition at a Bend hospital. The driver of the car suffered minor injuries in the accident, which remains under investigation.

The newspaper said Walker owned several businesses in Nocona, a city of about 3,500 people north of Dallas near the Red River.

His businesses included an appliance store, a repair shop and, most recently, Ray’s Used Equipment, which sells heavy machinery such as bulldozers and graders.
