BRIDGEVIEW, Ill. (AP) — Chicago forward Calen Carr scored with just over seven minutes remaining Wednesday night to give the Fire to a 2-1 victory over the New England Revolution.

Carr, in his first appearance of the season, faked defender Darrius Barnes to the grass and beat goalkeeper Matt Reis with a hard shot from 19 yards. Carr had missed the season’s first 16 games with a quadriceps injury.

Chicago (6-5-6) took sole possession of fourth place in the MLS’ Eastern Conference with 24 points. New England (6-10-3), which had its four-match unbeaten streak ended, is fifth with 21 points.
