EUGENE, Ore. (AP) — Eugene police say they have opened a homicide investigation in the death of a 55-year-old woman who had been missing for three days.

Police say the body of Deborah Ann Stone was found at her home Monday night. She was last seen by her co-workers on Friday and was reported missing by her family earlier Monday.

Detectives say they can’t give out any further details to avoid jeopardizing the investigation, which is still in its early stages. However, they say they don’t think the public is in danger because of the case.
