Meet Slappy. This goofy guy is a 6-year-old chocolate Labrador. Slappy is a very smart boy who knows a few of his basic commands, and he loves to play with squeaky toys. He would love to meet any kids or other dogs that he would be living with. Slappy is not on the adoption floor but if you think he’s the perfect addition to your family, send an e-mail to fsmith@southwesthumane.org to set up an appointment.

This is Orange Julius. She came to us when her family could no longer take care of her. Now this beautiful girl is looking for her forever home. Orange Julius has lived with cats and dogs. She has also spent some time with children but not a lot. If you think you have the right home for her ask how to adopt her today.

These pets are among those available for adoption from noon to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and noon to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Humane Society for Southwest Washington, 1100 N.E. 192nd Ave., Vancouver. Fees — which can include registered microchip, health exam, a spay or neuter certificate and vaccination — vary. Call 360-693-4746.
