1 dead, 3 injured in Idaho hammer attack

BAYVIEW, Idaho (AP) — One woman has died and three people were injured when a man walked into a trailer home in Idaho and started swinging a hammer at people watching television.

The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office said 43-year-old Patricia Heath died shortly before 1:00 p.m. Monday from massive head trauma.

One other woman remains in critical condition at Kootenai Medical Center, while one man was treated and released and another man did not require hospitalization.

The sheriff’s office said 31-year-old Larry Cragun of Bayview is in custody on $1 million bail on suspicion of attempted murder.
