PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — A former Coos Bay, Ore., bank manager accused of stealing as much as $1.2 million from customers has surrendered in Los Angeles.

FBI spokeswoman Beth Anne Steele says Shawna Leimomi Moore-Saia walked into the FBI’s Los Angeles office on Monday, two months after a federal judge issued an arrest warrant. She is sought on charges of aggravated identity theft, credit card fraud, wire fraud, bank fraud and money laundering.

The Oregonian reports Moore-Saia was booked into the Los Angeles County Jail.

The woman worked at a Wells Fargo branch in Coos Bay from August 2006 until last August, rising to assistant store manager. She was fired after Wells Fargo officials said they discovered she had opened bank accounts for customers without their knowledge in order to obtain commissions for the new accounts. That led to an investigation.
