MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) — Memphis forward Rudy Gay has signed a multiyear contract with the Grizzlies and was greeted by about 100 fans and the Memphis mayor at the arena.

The team announced the deal Thursday, though Gay had agreed to the 5-year deal for $80 million last week.

The 6-foot-8 forward is the longest tenured current Memphis player on and was second on the team in scoring last year, averaging 19.6 points and 5.9 rebounds.
