PHOENIX (AP) — The Suns have completed sign-and-trade deals that will send Amare Stoudemire to the New York Knicks and bring Hakim Warrick to Phoenix.
Stoudemire agreed to a free-agent contract of five years and about $100 million with the Knicks last week. He was signed by Phoenix, then sent to New York, giving the Suns a trade exception that was used to sign Warrick in another sign-and-trade deal with Chicago.
The Bulls receive Phoenix’s second-round draft pick in 2011 after Warrick signed a four-year, $18 million deal and was sent to the Suns.
Phoenix also locked up sharp-shooting center Channing Frye, who signed to a five-year, $30 million deal on Thursday.
