MILLVILLE, Minn. (AP) — Ryan Dungey began the second half of the AMA Pro Motocross season by winning the Rockstar Energy Spring Creek National on Saturday.
Dungey, from nearby Belle Plaine, Minn., capitalized on a good start in the first moto to take the lead Kevin Windham and cruise to the win. He worked from just outside the top five in the second moto before overtaking Andrew Short and sweeping the top spots.
Trey Canard, of Shawnee, Okla., captured the win in the 250 class. The third-year rider won his first career race in the previous round, and is just the second multiple winner this season.
The motocross series heads to Washougal, Wash., next weekend.
