Almagro beats Soderling in Swedish Open final

BASTAD, Sweden (AP) — Fourth-seeded Nicolas Almagro has beaten defending champion Robin Soderling 7-5, 3-6, 6-2 in the clay-court Swedish Open final.

Top-seeded Soderling recovered to break Almagro early in the second set on Sunday, but was outplayed in the decider.

It’s the sixth ATP Tour title for the 26th-ranked Spaniard.
