ATHENS, Greece (AP) — Greece has selected its 23-man World Cup squad, dropping AEK Athens midfielder Grigoris Makos and Panionios defender Giorgos Tzavelas.
Greece coach Otto Rehhagel, who had already trimmed his squad to 25, revealed the final lineup on Tuesday.
The Greeks take on Argentina, South Korea and Nigeria in Group B in the World Cup, and play fellow World Cup qualifier Paraguay in their last warmup on Wednesday near their training camp in Switzerland.
