Harney is a 6-year-old male Labrador that came to the Humane Society as a stray. He’s an easy-going, well-mannered fella who knows his basic commands and walks well on a leash. He seems to be house-trained and loves belly rubs. If you have kids or dogs at home, a meet-and-greet is advised.

Hera is a 4-year-old long-haired female cat. She came to us as a stray. She will need daily brushing because of the length of her hair. Hera just loves to just hang around the house and be part of the family.

These pets are among those available for adoption from noon to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and noon to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Humane Society for Southwest Washington, 1100 N.E. 192nd Ave., Vancouver. Fees — which can include registered microchip, health exam, a spay or neuter certificate and vaccination — vary. Call 360-693-4746.
