PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — A high-ranking member of the Oregon Air National Guard has pleaded not guilty to stealing three Suzuki motorcycles that belonged to the Guard and trying to resell them on Craigslist.com.

The Oregonian reports that 33-year-old Adam Michael Monticelli, a senior master sergeant in the elite 125th Special Tactics Squadron, faces three charges of theft of government property. He faces up to 10 years in prison.

Federal prosecutors say neighbors saw Monticelli of Vancouver, Wash., bringing items home in a U.S. Air Force truck, then resell them to people who showed up there.

Monticelli had been under investigation since last October. Investigators placed a hidden camera outside Monticelli’s house last November.

Monticelli’s attorney, David Angeli, says his client has “an absolutely exemplary record.”
