MORRISTOWN, N.J. (AP) — The New Jersey man who prosecutors describe as a “person of interest” in his ex-wife’s slaying is back in the Garden State.

Anthony Novellino waived extradition from Washington state, where he was arrested last Thursday.

The 63-year-old is charged in New Jersey with making terroristic threats against his former wife’s divorce lawyer.

Judith Novellino was found stabbed more than 80 times and beaten to death on June 19 in the Denville, N.J., home that they couple had shared. The 62-year-old was an English teacher at Morris Catholic High School.

Anthony Novellino was returned to New Jersey on Monday night. He’s held on $750,000 bail in the Morris County Jail.

It is not known whether he has a lawyer.
