PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Thousands of demonstrators marched through downtown Portland to support immigration reform and other causes on Saturday.

Many were wearing T-shirts that said, “Do I look illegal?”

The Portland May Day Coalition organized the march following a rally to help support immigration reform and protest a new law approved last month in Arizona requiring authorities to question people about their immigration status.

Labor rights activists, supporters of police reform and marijuana legalization advocates were also among the groups joining in the annual May Day rally.
