MEDFORD, Ore. (AP) — The Medford City Council is set to discuss a revised panhandling ordinance.

The proposal deletes language from a previous ordinance deemed unconstitutional by the courts because it restricted free speech.

The updated version still makes abusive solicitation against the law.

Once someone has declined a request for solicitation, it would be illegal to block, follow or threaten them.
