AGUASCALIENTES, Mexico (AP) — Antonio Margarito is ready to step back into the ring after being banned one year for having illegal hand wraps before a fight against Shane Mosley.

Margarito faces Roberto Garcia on Saturday night in Aguascalientes, Mexico. Both fighters made weight Friday for the junior middleweight bout.

Margarito (37-6) hasn’t fought since losing his welterweight title in 2009.

Before the fight, Mosley’s trainer noticed a plaster-like substance in Margarito’s hand wraps. The California Athletic Commission wound up suspending him for a year.

Also on the card Saturday night, WBA interim super featherweight champion Jorge Solis faces former title challenge Mario Santiago, and lightweights Urbano Antillon and Rene Gonzalez fight in a WBA eliminator.
