PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Two men and a woman made their first federal court appearance Friday after being arrested on suspicion of robbing two banks in the Portland area.
The Oregonian reports that the three suspects have engineering backgrounds and profiles on Internet social networks and seemed out of place in the court.
Stanley N. Ames, 31, Eric S. Wilcoxson, 28, and Pamela M. McGowan, 25, are accused of robbing two U.S. bank branches on Sept. 18 and Oct. 8 using a gun to intimidate costumers and bank employees.
Police were able to track the three after a witness wrote down the escape vehicle’s license plate number and the suspects used marked bills.
