Kenyan Mark Chepses wins Richmond Marathon

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — Mark Chepses has led a Kenyan sweep of the top four spots at the SunTrust Richmond Marathon, winning the 26.2-mile race in 2 hours, 19 minutes, 13 seconds on Saturday.

Philip Muchoki Kamau was second in 2:22:11, followed by David Kellum in 2:23:53 and Peter Omae.

Josh Miller of Rockford, Mich., was fifth in 2:31.38.

Tezeta Dengersa of Ethiopia won the women’s race in 2:49:10.
