KEY PENINSULA, Wash. (AP) — Eight people have been injured in a school bus accident on the Key Peninsula in South Puget Sound, north of Olympia.

Vanessa Taylor of the Key Peninsula Fire Department did not immediately know if any of the injured were children. Taylor says seven of the injuries were minor and one person suffered a serious but not life threatening injury.

A car collided with a bus shortly before noon. About 36 children were on the bus at the time of the accident.
