Florida State stops Florida International 89-66

MIAMI (AP) — Deividas Dulkys scored 22 points to lead Florida State to an 89-66 victory over Florida International Thursday night.

The Seminoles were never threatened after scoring 10 unanswered points during a 2:08 span early in the second half. Michael Snaer’s 3-pointer with 16:50 remaining capped the spurt and gave the Seminoles a 48-36 lead.

Dulkys finished 8 of 13 from the field and 5 of 9 from behind the arc.

Florida State (4-0) increased its lead to 67-47 on another Snaer 3-pointer with 9:25 left. Snaer finished with 15 points.

The closest the Panthers’ came after that was Eric Frederick’s basket with 7:51 left, cutting the Seminoles’ lead to 69-57.

Florida State leading scorer Chris Singleton, who entered the game with a 21-point-per-game average, finished with 14 points but grabbed 13 rebounds.

DeJuan Wright led the Panthers (2-1) with 20 points.
