Prairie view routs Alabama A&M 35-14

HUNTSVILE, Ala. (AP) — KJ Black passed for two touchdowns and Donald Babers rushed for 184 yards and a score in Prairie View’s 35-14 win over Alabama A&M on Saturday.

Black completed 15-of-27 passes for 215 yards with two interceptions. His 21-yard pass to Spencer Nelson in the first quarter held up for a 7-0 halftime lead.

Prairie View (7-4, 6-3 Southwestern Athletic Conference) put the game away in the second half with three touchdowns over a six-minute span in the third and fourth quarters. The scoring surge was capped by Black’s 4-yard touchdown pass to Shaun Stephens with 12:17 to play for a 28-0 lead.

The Panthers closed out the regular season with six wins in its final seven games. The Bulldogs lost six of their last seven.

Justin Jones passed for 176 yards and a touchdown for Alabama A&M (3-8, 2-7), which was hampered three interceptions and a fumble.
