FAIRFAX, Va. (AP) — Cam Long scored 20 points as George Mason jumped on Radford early and cruised to an 81-55 win on Wednesday night.

Andre Cornelius added 17 points and Ryan Pearson had 13 as the Patriots (3-2) snapped a two-game losing streak and avenged an 80-53 road loss to the Highlanders (2-2) last year.

The Patriots jumped out to a 43-23 halftime lead and continued their hot shooting in the second half, finishing at 55 percent from the field for the game.

They made 13 3-pointers, the most since they hit the same number against UNC-Wilmington on Jan. 3, 2008.

Radford shot 38 percent from the field.

Luke Hancock, George Mason’s leading scorer entering the game at 15 points a game, was held to five points, but handed out 10 assists and had eight rebounds.

Evan Faulkner led Radford with 15 points.
