TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) — Christian Ponder will close out his Florida State home career by trying to stop a six-game losing streak to rival Florida.

Ponder goes into Saturday’s game against the Gators with a 20-12 record as the Seminoles’ starting quarterback. He ousted three-year incumbent Drew Weatherford from the job in 2008.

Neither Ponder nor Weatherford, who finished his career 20-13 as a starter, have engineered a win over the Gators.

Ponder and the 22nd-ranked Seminoles (8-3, 6-2 ACC) are 212-point favorites Saturday — a four-touchdown reversal from last year, when they went to Gainesville a 2412 point underdog and came home a 27-point loser. The Gators (7-4, 4-4 SEC) are unranked.
