OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — Alfred Malone blocked Nick Novak’s 45-yard field-goal attempt on the game’s final play, preserving the defending champion Las Vegas Locomotives’ 23-20 victory over the Florida Tuskers in the United Football League title game Saturday.

Chase Clement, the game’s MVP, threw for 237 yards and a pair of touchdown passes as the Locos came from behind three times to win a rematch of the 2009 championship game.

Clement, who completed 16 of 25 attempts, threw touchdown passes of 75 yards to Andrae Thurman and 30 yards to George Wrighster. Hakim Hill went around the right side for a 37-yard touchdown run that gave Las Vegas the lead for good.

Florida’s Chris Greisen completed 24 of 42 passes for 346 yards.

A crowd of 15,310 attended at Rosenblatt Stadium.
