ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — LaMarcus Reed scored 22 points to lead three Texas-Arlington players in double digits as part of a 67-52 win over St. Edward’s on Saturday night.
Jordan Reves and Cameron Catlett each helped out with 10 points as the Mavericks (5-1) led the entire way.
Texas-Arlington shot 46.7 percent from the floor in the first half and led by as many as 19 points. They dropped off to 39.7 percent shooting in the second period, allowing the Hilltoppers (3-2) to pull within six points.
Remy Boswell led the Hilltoppers with 18 points while Landon DeMasters added 14.
St. Edward’s outrebounded the Mavericks 43-40.
