Suspicious package found outside Bainbridge police

BAINBRIDGE ISLAND, Wash. (AP) — A Washington State Patrol bomb squad is responding after a suspicious package was found near the Bainbridge Island Police Department.

Police Chief Jon Fehlman tells KIRO-TV the package is a 1-foot by 1-foot box. The box is inside a car parked near the police station.

Police evacuated two city blocks near the station.
