Mountain View High alum Rian Lindell can’t seem to come out on top this season, much like his 2-9 team.
On Oct. 24 his 50-yard field goal late in the game against the Ravens tied the score — only to have his team lose in overtime.
One week later, Lindell made what seemed to be a game-winning 53-yard field goal in overtime at Kansas City. But wait! The Chiefs had called timeout, and Lindell then hit the upright on his next kick and the Bills went on to lose.
And then Sunday, Lindell was poised to be the hero again as he made a 49-yard field with 2 seconds to play at Pittsburgh. But again, the Steelers ended up winning in overtime.
