The Columbian
Published: October 1, 2010, 12:00am

When, where: 7 p.m. Friday at Lincoln HS, Portland

Records: Heritage (0-4), Grant (2-2); non-league game.

Game notes: Grant of Portland is an Oregon 6A team … The General are coming off a 31-7 win at Beaverton last week. … Trevionte Riley rushed 18 times for 163 yards for Grant, and Byron Brown had an 80-yard TD run. … Heritage struggled with Mountain View’s running attack last season, giving up 219 yards to P.J. Jones and 100 yards to Jeff Carmody. … Grant also has a passing attack as Clayton Graves caught five passes for 85 yards and a TD. .. Heritage QB Riley O’Dell has passed for 946 yards and six TDs. .. After sharing passing duties in the opening weeks, O’Dell played the entire game at QB for Heritage. … Heritage’s last three losses have come when they were stopped inside the 10 in a 24-21 loss to Mark Morris, in overtime to Skyview 28-21 and to Mountain View 30-29 on a last-minute field goal.

The Columbian’s take: Heritage might be the best 0-4 team around. But’s that’s not much of a consolation for the Timberwolves. Heritage is hungry for a win, but playing on the road will not make it easy. We’ve missed on the Timberwolves twice in the past three weeks, so they should take this as a good omen. PICK: Grant
