MOUNT VERNON, Wash. (AP) — Officials have called off a search for a Skagit County woman missing on Sauk Mountain in the Cascades.

Skagit County sheriff’s Deputy John Hendrickson tells KIRO-TV that searchers have exhausted every possibility in looking for 65-year-old Patricia Kreiger, including using bloodhounds, helicopters and heat-seeking cameras.

Kreiger disappeared Saturday after she became separated from a five-member group that had gone up the mountain to scatter the ashes of a friend’s parent. Hendrickson tells KIRO that he believes Kreiger is no longer on the mountain.
