SEATTLE (AP) — An 18-year-old woman whose involvement in a videotaped jaywalking stop resulted in a Seattle police officer punching her has pleaded guilty to assaulting the officer.

The Seattle Times says 18-year-old Angel Rosenthal pleaded guilty to fourth-degree assault, a gross misdemeanor, during an appearance Wednesday in King County Juvenile Court. Judge Helen Halpert sentenced her to one year probation and 80 hours of community service.

Rosenthal was 17 when an officer tried to stop a friend of hers for jaywalking. A videotape of the June 14 incident shows Rosenthal shoving the officer, who responded by punching her in the face. Rosenthal later apologized to the officer.
