NEW YORK (AP) — Aruna took the lead in the final 200 yards and ran off to a three-length victory in the $100,000 Pebbles for 3-year-old fillies on Monday.

Ridden by Ramon Dominguez, Aruna trailed most of the field before moving up steadily on the turn, going four wide and then outrunning Bet On The Blue.

The France-based filly is 2 for 2 in the United States and earned $60,000 to improve her bankroll to $139,232 for owner Flaxman Stable.

Sent off as the 6-5 favorite in the field of eight, Aruna returned $4.70 for a $2 win bet. The winning time for the mile was 1:35.03 over a firm turf course.
