PORT ANGELES, Wash. (AP) — Police in Port Angeles found six pipe bombs inside the vehicle of a man they had just arrested for allegedly threatening another man with a loaded gun.

The Peninsula Daily News reports that 38-year-old Eric L. Possinger was booked into the Clallam County jail Thursday on suspicion of first-degree assault and possession of amphetamines.

Soon after officers arrested Possinger, they noticed what looked like explosive devices in his car. A State Patrol bomb squad retrieved six explosive devices and later detonated them.
