ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) — Ducks rookie defenseman Cam Fowler probably will play in Anaheim’s next game despite breaking his nose in a collision with Phoenix’s Shane Doan.

Fowler was hurt Sunday night during the Ducks’ 3-2 home victory over the Coyotes. His injury was diagnosed Monday morning.

Fowler scored his first NHL goal during the second period before sliding hard into the boards behind Phoenix’s net after getting hit by the Coyotes’ captain a few minutes later.

The 19-year-old Fowler is expected to travel with the Ducks on their upcoming road trip, which begins Wednesday night in Columbus. The Ducks have three more games to decide whether to keep Fowler for the season or return the first-round draft pick to his junior team.
