INGLEWOOD, Calif. (AP) — Count Terrell Owens as a member of Zenyatta’s fan club.

The Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver paid a weekend visit to the undefeated 6-year-old mare at her barn at Hollywood Park.

In California on business during the Bengals’ bye week, Owens fed carrots to Zenyatta, who is 19-0.

Owens says he’s been to the Kentucky Derby and visited Three Chimneys Farm in Midway, Ky. After hearing so much about Zenyatta, he says he wanted to meet her.

When Zenyatta was led out of her stall, Owens said, “Man, she’s big!”

Told that Zenyatta is remarkably gentle around the barn but highly competitive on the racetrack, Owens said, “So she’s like me: kind off the field, but somebody who shows a lot of passion on it.”
