A Camas man who left home on Oct. 8, saying he planned to go camping in Christmas Valley, Ore., has been found dead in a Las Vegas hotel room, police say.

Bennett Huffman, 47, was found dead late last week, said Sgt. Scot Boyles with the Camas Police Department.

Nevada officials told Camas police that there was no sign of foul play or any crime in his death, Boyles said.

Camas police had asked for the public’s help in locating Huffman last week, after he didn’t return home or contact friends and family members.

The cause and manner of Huffman’s death were not available Tuesday night from the Clark County, Nev., Coroner’s Office, which is investigating.
