STORRS, Conn. (AP) — Connecticut quarterback Cody Endres has been suspended for the remainder of the season for an unspecified violation of a university policy.

The junior had just rejoined the Huskies in September after serving a monthlong suspension. He took over the quarterback duties midway through UConn’s win over Buffalo on Sept. 25.

A release from the school Wednesday said the latest suspension will remain in effect through the end of the academic year.

Lineman Erik Kuraczea (kur-AY-zha), who was suspended with Endres in August and also had returned to the starting lineup, withdrew from UConn earlier this week.

The school would not say if the incidents are linked.

Redshirt freshman Michael Box is listed as Endres’ backup on the latest depth chart. UConn (3-3) plays at Louisville on Saturday.
