OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) — The front porch of the governor’s mansion will be transformed into a scene from the 1960s TV series “The Addams Family” for Halloween.

Gov. Chris Gregoire says she’s dressing up as the family matriarch, Morticia, and her husband, Mike, will be Gomez. They will be joined by others dressed as children Wednesday and Pugsley, along with Lurch, Uncle Fester and Grandmama. Gregoire’s dog Trooper will play the role of Cousin It.

Trick-or-treaters are invited to come to the mansion on Sunday, Oct. 31 between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. to receive a chocolate bar. Hidden in the wrappers of five chocolate bars will be a magic “Golden Ticket” that will be good for a special holiday reception in December.
