KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — Baylor coach Scott Drew is refusing to confirm a report that the NCAA is investigating the school’s recruitment of a high school player from South America.

FOXSports.com has reported that the NCAA is looking into the recruitment of 6-foot-9 Hanner Perea, a Colombian. Citing unidentified sources, FOXSports.com said a Baylor assistant violated NCAA rules by sending text messages to the player’s high school and AAU coaches in July.

Drew declined to address the rumor Thursday during Big 12 basketball media day. Baylor guard LaceDarius Dunn also remains suspended from games after being accused by authorities of hitting his girlfriend.
