BEND, Ore. (AP) — If Deschutes County prosecutors want to keep their jobs, they’ll have to apply just like anyone else.
The Bulletin reports their new boss, incoming District Attorney Patrick Flaherty, sent an e-mail last weekend to deputy district attorneys outlining his plans for appointing prosecutors when he takes over in January.
Flaherty mentioned that he’s already gotten applications from other Oregon attorneys who are interested in working for him.
Flaherty was elected in May after beating longtime incumbent Mike Dugan.
