NEW YORK (AP) — Bribon won the Bold Ruler on Saturday and Our Khrysty captured the Turnback the Alarm in the $100,000 handicaps at Belmont Park.
Bribon had the more decisive victory, beating Jersey Town by 134 lengths. The 7-year-old gelding trained by Todd Pletcher got his 11th win in 36 starts. Bribon ran 7 furlongs in 1:22.36 with John Velazquez up, and paid $6.90 to win.
Our Khrysty scored a second straight stakes win at Belmont following the Nellie Bly on Sept. 26. She broke poorly in the Turnback the Alarm for fillies and mares, trailing in the eight-horse field before launching a determined rally that carried the 4-year-old to a nose win over Funny Moon.
Ramon Dominguez was aboard for trainer Todd Beattie as Our Khrysty ran 1 1-16 miles in 1:43.21, paying $5.40 to win.
